Taylor Swift’s Engagement Ring from Travis Kelce Could Be Worth Up to $5M, Say Jewelry Experts

Swift’s vintage-inspired sparkler is making headlines — with experts estimating the custom-cut diamond could be worth anywhere from $250K to $5 million.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are officially engaged — and the ring is already a cultural moment. The couple announced their engagement on August 26 via Instagram, sharing a romantic photo shoot in a flower-filled garden. But it was the Old Mine Brilliant Cut diamond ring on Swift’s finger that stole the spotlight.

Kelce, 35, worked with Kindred Lubeck of Artifex Fine Jewelry to design the bespoke piece, which features an elongated antique cushion-cut diamond set in 18k yellow gold. Swift, also 35, showed off the ring in a close-up shot, sending Swifties and jewelry experts into a frenzy.

While official specs haven’t been released, estimates are pouring in:

• Neil Dutta of Angelic Diamonds places the price closer to $1.3 to $1.5 million, praising the ring’s romantic, antique feel.
• George Khalife, aka George the Jeweler, offers the highest estimate — up to $5 million — suggesting the center stone could be 20 carats and “hand-cut using techniques we rarely see anymore.”

The ring’s Old Mine Cut dates back to the 18th and 19th centuries, known for its pillow-like shape and unique faceting. Experts say the choice reflects Swift’s love for timeless romance and Kelce’s attention to detail.

Their love story began in July 2023, when Kelce attended Swift’s Eras Tour at Arrowhead Stadium and famously tried — and failed — to give her a friendship bracelet with his phone number. By September, Swift was spotted cheering him on at a Chiefs game, and the rest is history.

Earlier this month, Swift appeared on Kelce’s New Heights podcast, breaking the Guinness World Record for most concurrent views on YouTube. During the episode, she hinted that the couple now live together and described Kelce as a “vibe booster in everyone’s life.”
