Madison Reyes Announces Pregnancy With Sims-Themed Reveal.
Madison Reyes is expecting her first child! The “Julie and the Phantoms” star shared the news with a Sims-themed reveal and heartfelt video.
Madison Reyes, star of Netflix’s “Julie and the Phantoms,” surprised fans with a joyful announcement: she’s expecting her first child. The 21-year-old actress revealed the news on August 12 via Instagram, sharing a playful photo from Washington D.C.’s Otakon convention. Dressed in a Sims-inspired costume complete with a signature plumbob headband, Reyes drew attention to her baby bump.
“Went to @otakonpics this weekend and knew it would be the perfect way to announce that this sim is expecting!! @thesims,” she captioned the post. The image also featured a Sims-style notification: “Eating for Two! Congratulations! Madison is expecting! There’s going to be a new addition to this household.”
In a follow-up video, Reyes elaborated on her pregnancy and addressed her fans directly. She explained that her due date coincides with the Waves Convention in Munich this November, which she’ll miss due to her pregnancy. She also issued a firm message to potential critics: “If anybody has anything negative to say, you will be blocked, reported, and deleted,” she said, adding that her co-star Jadah Marie would back her up.
Reyes affectionately referred to her fanbase as “lovely aunties and uncles,” thanking them for their support and discretion. “Yes, this is very real,” she confirmed. “Thank you to everybody who respected me and my time.”
The pregnancy follows her recent engagement to longtime boyfriend Shaun Scudder, announced in July via TikTok. Scudder has appeared frequently on Reyes’ social media since 2023.

With her due date just three months away, Reyes joked about “delivering looks virtually” at Waves Con rather than delivering a baby. She promised to share more of her journey to motherhood in the coming weeks, ending her video with heartfelt gratitude: “I really hope that you guys are so happy for a little Maddy to come into this world.”
Support poured in from her “Julie and the Phantoms” family, including creator Kenny Ortega and co-star Owen Joyner. Ortega wrote, “Love, Light, and All my Best Wishes Mama!!! ❤️🫢,” while Joyner added, “Wow! Congratulations Mads. We love you ❤️❤️.”
