Stephen Curry’s 35 points and Draymond Green’s lockdown defense carried Golden State to a 126–121 comeback win.

Warriors Rally Past Clippers to Stay Alive in Play-In

The Golden State Warriors turned back the clock Wednesday night, rallying from 13 points down in the fourth quarter to stun the LA Clippers 126–121 and advance in the NBA’s play-in tournament.

Stephen Curry scored 11 of his game-high 35 points in the final 9:27, including a deep three in the final minute to put Golden State ahead. Draymond Green then sealed the win with vintage defense — denying Kawhi Leonard touches, forcing turnovers, and grabbing loose balls in the closing seconds.

“This is why Steph came back,” coach Steve Kerr said. “This is who he is.”

The Warriors had stumbled to a 37–45 record, losing Curry for 27 games with a knee injury and multiple starters to season-ending setbacks. But Curry returned in April to give them a chance, and Wednesday’s performance showed why.

Green, 36, was assigned to Leonard and held him to just two shot attempts in the fourth quarter. He capped his night with two steals in the final 49 seconds, including a strip in isolation that effectively ended the game.

“Draymond, Hall of Fame defender,” Leonard admitted. “It was hard to even get shots up.”

Kristaps Porzingis and Al Horford chipped in clutch buckets, with Horford hitting four threes in the fourth. Kerr called the win “one of my favorites of this run,” praising the team’s resilience despite injuries and age.

The Warriors now head to Phoenix to face the Suns on Friday in another elimination game. The winner earns the 8-seed in the Western Conference and a first-round matchup with the defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder.
