Trevon Diggs has been the lone constant amidst all the concerns at cornerback. Following his spectacular rise in 2021 with 11 interceptions, he evolved into a complete cornerback in 2022 that quarterbacks purposefully avoided.
Diggs departed the field against the Texans in the second quarter with obvious left hand injury, ending the seasons of Jourdan Lewis and Anthony Brown. When the trainers arrived, Diggs went straight to the locker room to be assessed.
#Cowboys CB Trevon Diggs dealing with an injury to the bone above his left thumb according to @LauraOkmin looked in pain on bench. Not good. Already without Jourdan Lewis and Anthony Brown

Nahshon Wright filled in for Diggs while he was away. Diggs was examined in the locker room before coming back out onto the field late in the second quarter. Johnathan Hankins, a defensive tackle, stopped a fourth-down drive but hurt his right arm in the process.
As head athletic trainer Jim Maurer observes, Cowboys NT Johnathan Hankins is pushing and ripping against DT Osa Odighizuwa on sideline to help determine whether he’ll be able to play through his undisclosed right arm injury. https://t.co/rnPvs2r19z

Hankins’ worry is another blow to Dan Quinn’s defence. Quinton Bohanna, a defensive tackle, has returned after missing a month, which is fantastic news given Hankins’ absence. Dallas can finally breathe a sigh of relief because Diggs is back.
