Sophie Turner the “Sansa Stark” from Game of Thrones is taking legal action against her ex, Joe Jonas. Why, you ask? Well, it seems like Sophie wants their two little kiddos back in England with her.
According to NBC, Sophie’s legal team claims that Joe is playing keep-away with the kids’ passports. The couple, who just announced their split after four years of marriage, apparently had an agreement to make England their new home. They even started buying a house there!
Legal papers filed in a New York court spill the beans. Apparently, since September 20, Joe’s been keeping the kids in the Big Apple, far away from their usual spot in England. To make matters stickier, Joe filed for divorce at the beginning of September and then decided to hold onto the passports, which stopped the kids from going back to the UK with their mom, who was working there.
The legal documents argue that these little ones, born in 2020 and 2022 and having citizenship in both the US and the UK, are super tied into life in England. The older one’s even going to school there!
But hold on, there’s more to this story. Joe’s camp told NBC News that he’s hoping Sophie will reconsider her tough stance and find a more private and constructive way to sort things out. They made it clear that Joe’s top priority is the well-being of their children.
In fact, Joe’s cool with the idea of shared parenting, and he’s totally fine with the kids being raised in both the US and the UK. These two met back in 2016, got hitched in a Las Vegas wedding in 2019, and welcomed their first kid, Willa, in 2020, followed by their second child two years later. Drama, right?
