Mike Vrabel and Dianna Russini Deny Romance After Vacation Photos Surface

Mike Vrabel, head coach of the New England Patriots, and Dianna Russini, NFL reporter for The Athletic, have spoken out after photos of their shared vacation in Sedona, Arizona, sparked speculation about their relationship.

Images published by Page Six showed Vrabel, 50, and Russini, 43, hugging, dancing with fingers interlocked, and lounging together by a pool and hot tub. Both are married — Vrabel recently celebrated his 26th wedding anniversary with wife Jen, while Russini is married to Shake Shack executive Kevin Goldschmidt.

Vrabel dismissed the rumors in a statement:

“These photos show a completely innocent interaction and any suggestion otherwise is laughable. This doesn’t deserve any further response.”

Russini emphasized that the photos lacked context, noting they were part of a larger group outing:

“The photos don’t represent the group of six people who were hanging out during the day. Like most journalists in the NFL, reporters interact with sources away from stadiums and other venues.”

Her editor at The Athletic, Steven Ginsberg, defended her professionalism, saying:

“These photos are misleading and lack essential context. These were public interactions in front of many people. Dianna is a premier journalist covering the NFL and we’re proud to have her at the Athletic.”

The incident has fueled online chatter, but both Vrabel and Russini insist their interactions were strictly professional and social, not romantic.
