Love Island UK Season 10 episode, which aired on June 27, left viewers in shock as two islanders faced elimination after a public vote. The unexpected turn of events led to the immediate departure of Mehdi Edno and Mal Nicol from the island.
Upon leaving the Love Island villa, Mehdi expressed his emotions, saying, “Leaving a place behind always brings a touch of sadness, but this has been an incredible experience, and I’m immensely grateful for it. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting extraordinary individuals and forging lifelong friendships. There was a potential connection with Whitney, so we’ll see how that unfolds in the future.”
Meanwhile, Mal reflected on their Love Island UK journey, stating, “I wouldn’t trade this experience for anything. Every occurrence happens for a reason. I know my worth, and the islanders held me in high regard. They treated me with kindness throughout.”
Earlier in the day, Tyrique and Zach surprised Ella and Kady with a delightful breakfast of eggs and avocado on toast, setting a romantic tone for the day.
Subsequently, the Kissing Competition commenced, featuring blindfolded boys rating each girl on a scale of ten. Kady found herself in the last position, while Jess claimed the top spot.
In a separate conversation, Jess opened up to Sammy, admitting, “I’m not ready to close myself off completely. The circumstances surrounding us didn’t allow us to make that decision. Others decided for us, leaving us with no say.”
Jess then conveyed to Sammy, “I genuinely believe that there’s something between us, but if you choose to end it, I understand.”
Later, Jess had a chat with Mitchel, clarifying that she only saw him as a friend and had a stronger romantic interest in Sammy.
The islanders gathered around the fire pit after Kady received a text, revealing the results of the public vote. The announcement stated that the viewers had voted for their favorite male and female islanders, and the couple with the fewest votes would be eliminated immediately.
Mal received the least number of votes among the girls, while Mehdi got the lowest votes among the boys, resulting in Sammy and Whitney becoming single.
“Don’t forget that you’re here to find love. Embrace the opportunity! Don’t be disheartened, as you never know when it might be your last time here. So enjoy the company of your friends and be open to new connections. I’ll miss you so much,” Mehdi conveyed his farewell to Whitney.
